My Grandmother’s Certificate: “Child of War” Status

This document belongs to my grandmother, Yevheniia Gass.

In Ukraine, this status is granted to individuals who were born during World War II, between 1939 and 1945, and experienced the war in their childhood.

People with this status are entitled to social benefits and state support.

Yevheniia  Gass,Oleksandrivna.

A name that was once changed in order to survive,

and returned decades later.
